  • a sofa bed in the living area;
  • a good sized bathroom with a fantastic large shower enclosure, a large washbowl with storage cupboards (drawers);
  • outdoor showering facilities by the pool;
  • a kitchen including all facilities for a self catering holiday, including a 4–ring gas hob, a microwave, all cooking utensils and linen, a fridge/freezer, ironing board and iron, and cleaning and washing utensils;
  • a utility room with a washing machine and an outdoor drying area;
  • a living room including a sofa bed, coffee table, and easy chairs plus cupboard and storage space;
  • air conditioning and room fans;
  • an outdoor patio and garden with a barbeque area and outdoor seating for 4 or 5 people;
  • a parking space, and a private drive;
  • a swimming pool with all pool furniture and excellent lighting and a poolside shower;
  • all towels and bed linen are included.

Getting Around

Car hire is recommended.

The property is in a wonderful setting only 25 minutes from Málaga airport and 20 minutes to Torremolinos and other coastal resorts.

The coast is a 20 minute drive away. There is an area not greatly used by tourists, which can be very quiet. A short distance further up the beach, however, is the main tourist area if that’s what you are looking for!

There are various golf clubs within easy reach, such as:

  • Alhaurin Golf and Country Club, with 3 courses, only 20 minutes drive away;
  • Mijas Golf Complex consists of two 18 hole courses and has one of the longest courses on the Costa del Sol;
  • Guadalhorce Golf Club has an 18 and 9 hole course and a par 72 course, situated 7km (approx. 4 miles) from the property.

The local village of Cartama Estacion (1.5km away) has a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants with a direct train link to the city of Málaga (15 minutes) and beyond.

By car, you can get to:

  • Torrmolinos in 25 minutes;
  • Benalmádena in 30 minutes;
  • Mijas Costa in 45 minutes;
  • several water parks and theme parks within easy distance.

Local Area

Located in one of the most historically important and beautiful municipalities in the Guadalhorce region of Malaga province, Cartama Estacion lies in an area surrounded by stunning mountains and on the banks of the Rio Guadalhorce. Its Sunday market boasts the finest array of local produce, crafts and goods, and attracts locals and tourists from all over the region.

The accomodation is situated in a quiet unspoilt area on the outskirts of the village in a quiet area. Cartama Estacion and the surrounding villages are renowned for their magical fiestas in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The lake/picnic area of El Churro is only 30 minutes drive. Ideally situated for touring the interior of Andalucia and the fun and nightlife of all the main resorts on the costa.
